Hosted by Austin and Charity, the Central Vision Podcast brings together people who are blind, have low vision, and the family members, friends, professionals, and advocates who share the journey. Through honest conversations, humor, personal stories, and practical discussions, we explore what it really means to navigate work, relationships, technology, travel, accessibility, independence, and everything in between.

Some episodes feature inspiring guests with unique experiences. Others dive into everyday challenges, awkward moments, helpful tips, or the conversations that don't happen often enough. We believe that sharing real experiences builds confidence, creates understanding, and reminds people they're not alone.

Austin Linton

Austin Linton is the co-host of Central Vision Podcast and founder of Rare Perspective Co, a brand focused on changing how blindness and vision loss are seen and talked about. Diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa in his mid-20s, Austin brings firsthand experience, humor, and an unfiltered perspective to conversations about blindness, identity, independence, and the parts of vision loss people don’t always see.

Austin also serves on the board of the Columbus chapter of the Foundation Fighting Blindness and is actively involved in advocacy, community outreach, and creating stronger connections within the blind and low-vision community. Whether behind the mic or through Rare Perspective Co, his goal is simple: create honest conversations, challenge assumptions, and help people see blindness from a different perspective.

Charity Roach

Charity Roach is the co-host of Central Vision Podcast, where she shares honest stories, personal experiences, and her perspective on life with blindness. She is a married, mom of three, living in Georgia.

Diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa at the age of 23, Charity is passionate about advocacy, education, and connection. She volunteers with her local Lions Club, working to support and serve the blind and low vision in her community.

Through Central Vision, Charity hopes to create understanding, challenge perspectives, and show that blindness is only one part of a much bigger story.
